The aim of the present study is to analyse how large Spanish companies have integrated the functions related to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in its organizational structure and how the work of this functional area is articulated. Based on a telephone survey to the CSR responsible person of 302 companies with more than 200 employees, the assignment of CSR responsibilities, the allocation of resources and the areas of work and corresponding functions are identified. The results of this study allow knowing the current tendencies in Spanish companies with regard to the strategic integration of CSR.
