This report aims to advance in the development and implementation of a social accounting system that allows quantifying the social impact of an organization in monetary terms. By using the methodology developed by Retolaza et al. (2013), we calculated the Integrated Social Value (VSI) for the Foundation Formació i Treball, one of the largest working integration social enterprises of Catalonia. This methodology combines qualitative and quantitative analysis. Qualitative analysis seeks to assess the impacts that the entity generates by identifying how the enterprise is creating value and is benefiting to its stakeholders. This analysis is based on interviews with representatives from the enterprise’s stakeholders. The quantitative analysis focuses on quantifying the perceived value through the development of indicators and proxies, which permits to monetize the value generated for the main stakeholders. Furthermore, this study reviews and compares the application of other methodologies used for similar purposes, such as the SROI (Social Return on Investment).
